The Hard Truth

You Work Hard.
But Hard Work
Alone Won't
Cut It.

You go to every practice. You show up early. You stay late. But when the ball drops at your feet in a big moment, something still feels off.

Maybe your platform breaks late. Maybe your first step is slow. Maybe you freeze when the pressure is real. That's not a talent problem. That's a training problem.

Most athletes never get access to the kind of defensive thinking that produces 566 digs in a single college season. They repeat drills without learning why. They get better slowly. And when tryout season hits — or nationals — the gaps show.

The athletes who earn starting spots and earn college looks don't just work harder. They train with better coaches, better systems, and more focused reps.

She Started Late.
She Refused to
Stay Behind.

Sarah Driscoll didn't start playing volleyball until her sophomore year of high school — not the typical story. She chose volleyball over basketball and track, and went all in.

She earned a starting spot at James Madison University as a D-1 Defensive Specialist and Libero. She became a two-time CAA champion and two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Week. In her junior season she recorded 566 digs (5.05 per set) — including 34 in a single match against VCU.

“She instills a lot of confidence in us when we're swinging. I know she's behind me. She'll cover me.”

— Briley Brind'Amour, JMU Outside Hitter

A Cincinnati native through and through. Lakota East. Cincy Classics. She played in your gyms, against your competition. Now she's back home — to show you exactly how she did it.

“She has a very bubbly personality. Such a goofball. Playing with that energy is really good.”

— M'Kaela White, JMU Middle Blocker
The Training

Four Skills.
One Obsession.

Every rep. Every drill. Every correction is built around one goal: making you the most dangerous defender on the floor.

01
Serve Receive & Passing
Advanced platform mechanics, reading serve trajectories before they land, and the small foot adjustments that separate good passers from great ones.
Foundation
02
Digging & Reading Hitters
Train your eyes to see the attack before it launches. Build the reaction speed and positioning that turned Sarah into one of the CAA's most prolific diggers.
Elite Skill
03
Floor Defense & Diving
Full extension techniques that save points. Know when to go full stretch, when to roll, and how to reset back into system in under a second.
High Impact
04
Out-of-System Defense
The plays that matter most are the messy ones. Train to keep your team alive when everything around you breaks down.

Athletes Don't Lie.

★★★★★

“My daughter went from riding the bench to earning her starting spot in two months after this clinic. The attention to detail on platform mechanics alone was worth every penny.”

“I've been to a dozen volleyball clinics. This was different. Small groups mean you actually get coached — not just herded around. I got more feedback in 90 minutes than an entire season.”

“The way Coach explains floor defense — the why behind every movement — finally made things click that felt impossible for years. I'm a completely different player.”

Got Questions

FAQ

Who is this clinic for? +
Athletes ages 13U–18U who play defensive specialist or libero — or any 6-rotation player who wants to seriously improve their passing, digging, and floor defense. Minimum 2 years of experience recommended.
Can I attend just one session? +
Yes. Each session is complete on its own. That said, athletes who train the full series see dramatically more improvement — each clinic builds on the skills from the last.
What if spots fill up before I register? +
Sessions are capped at 12 athletes to protect coaching quality. Once a session is full, it's full. Register early. Some dates fill faster than others.
What should athletes bring? +
Court shoes, knee pads, and a water bottle. Spandex or shorts. Bring your best effort — that's all that's required.
Do I need to be a CVA member to attend? +
No. These clinics are open to all athletes regardless of club affiliation. All skill levels and clubs are welcome.
How do I contact CVA with questions? +
Email the team at CVA@Courts4Sports.com. Real people, real responses.

P.S. — Sarah Driscoll didn't pick up a volleyball until her sophomore year of high school. She went on to record 566 digs in a single D-1 season, win two conference championships, and become one of the most respected liberos in JMU history. If she could do that starting late — imagine what you can do starting now. Spots are limited. Register today.
